How Do I Log In If I Cannot See My Profile?

  1. Open Jellyfin.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the profile picker.
  3. Use the Manual Login button.
  4. Enter your username and password.

How Do I Change My Profile Picture?

  1. Open Jellyfin and click your profile picture in the top right corner.
  2. Open your profile settings.
  3. Upload a picture under 1 MB.
  4. Pick your favorite movie or TV show character. Without a picture I will not put you on the Jellyfin login screen, so pick something fun that represents you.
  5. Let me know after you changed it so I can make your profile show up on the login screen.

What Is the Watchlist?

Everybody has a Watchlist now. Think of it as your personal todo list for movies and TV shows.

  • open the title details page and click the Watchlist button
  • once you watched an item, it disappears from the Watchlist automatically

What Are Bookmarks?

Bookmarks let you save a specific timestamp inside a movie or episode.

  • start playback of the item
  • in the bottom right corner, click the bookmark button for the current position
  • later, open the Bookmarks panel in the sidebar to jump back to those saved spots

Useful Sidebar Panels

The sidebar is where you can find your Watchlist, Bookmarks, Requests, and Calendar.

The sidebar can be opened with the button in the top left corner that looks like this:

  • Watchlist: the movies and TV shows you added and have not watched yet
  • Bookmarks: saved timestamps inside specific movies or episodes
  • Requests: your request history, current request status, and direct links to items that are already available
  • Calendar: upcoming and recent release dates in calendar form
