Choose how you watch
| Your device | Where to start |

| Computer | Open Jellyfin in your browser. No app needed. |
| Phone or tablet | Get the official Jellyfin app from your app store, or use your browser. |
| TV or streaming device | Use a compatible Jellyfin app. On Apple TV, try Swiftfin or Infuse. |
For downloads and device options, use the Jellyfin app list.
When an app asks for a server address, enter:
https://jellyfin.dk-homelab.ch
Then sign in with the same username and password you use in the browser.
Watchlist: keep your next watch ready
Watchlist is your personal list of movies and shows you want to watch. It's one of my favourite features, especially when I find something good but don't feel like watching it right now or when somebody tells me to watch something.
- Open a title's details in Jellyfin.
- Click the Watchlist button .
- Open the Watchlist tab next to Home and Favorites at the top, or choose Watchlist from the menu to find it again later.
Watched items disappear from the list automatically.
Pick on your phone, watch on your TV
I often browse my Watchlist on my phone, decide what I feel like watching, and then search for that title on the TV.
Audio and subtitles
Use the playback controls to choose from the available audio languages and subtitle tracks. Most titles only have the original audio track. Subtitles are mostly available in English.
If playback stutters, try another subtitle track or briefly turn subtitles off. For more help, see Playback not working?.
A couple of nice extras
- Bookmarks save a moment inside a movie or episode. During playback in the browser, use the bookmark button near the bottom right. Open Bookmarks from the menu to return to those moments.
- Calendar shows upcoming and recent release dates. A release date isn't a promise that the title will be available here that day.
You can find these in Jellyfin's menu in the browser. TV apps like Jellyfin for Google TV usually don't show this menu.
